About the Watch

The officers standing beneath bright lights while the fate of worlds hangs in the balance. But every famous mission also had somebody standing security outside the door. Somebody guarding the corridor. Somebody holding the line while history happened somewhere else.

Red Shirt Watch is a Star Trek fan fiction series following the enlisted personnel of Security Division aboard a Constitution-class starship during some of the most dangerous years in Federation history — the Original Series era.

These are not the celebrated heroes of the official reports. They are the watchstanders. The detail crews. The security teams sent first into situations nobody fully understands.

The stories unfold in the background of larger events the audience may slowly recognize, but this is not the bridge crew’s story. This is original Star Trek fan fiction about the people history usually forgets — serialized sci-fi from the corridor where the red shirts stand watch.
